Well progress continues on my recording, “Always Today”, though I’m not quite satisfied with the lead vocal yet. I’ve also decided to add a 12-string guitar as backup. After that I won’t make any other changes and start the mixing process. Revisions can be endless. There is always a point at which you just have to “go with what you’ve got.” Otherwise, it will go on forever. Got to “git er done”!
My next performance will be at ‘Into the Glass” this Thursday, the 17th of February, starting at 7 PM. I hope you can drop in and say, “Hi”. Happy Valentine’s Day, everyone.
I’ve mentioned that we are working on my love song, “Always Today.” Well, the process goes on. We recorded my clarinet part and the track is finished. Now all I’ve got to do is record a new lead vocal to replace my existing vocal. Then the fun really begins with mixing the tracks and mastering the final mix. I’d like to release this song in the near future, but these things can’t be rushed. It’ll be ready when it’s ready.
My management service recently acquired some baseball caps with my logo. They’ll be available at my gigs for $15. We will be placing them on my website where you’ll be able to purchase them directly.

This coming Saturday (the 29th) at 8 PM, I’ll be performing at Cork it! In downtown Grapevine. Many of you may remember that I played there regularly the first year when they opened as “Tastings”, and it’s good to be working with the owners, Cindy & Scott, again.

Well I’ve finally moved into an office in downtown Grapevine. It’s conveniently located near a couple of my regular venues, and its great having my own quiet place to write music, practice guitar and clarinet, or work on my recordings on my computer. I bought a Casio keyboard that has midi capability so I’m able to work out tunes and record directly to my computer which runs “Cakewalk Studio 8.5”.
I’ve been thinking about years past and friends who have helped fill them.
