JB Clark: Journal

Performing at Press Box Grill Tonight

Posted on January 27, 2012 with 0 comments
With the warm temperatures last Friday evening, there was a great turnout on the PBG patio.  Made new friends, and ran into some I had not seen in a long time.
Well we're doing it again tonight at 7PM, but this time I'll be on the stage inside; just a little too chilly tonight.  Hope you can make it tonight, but if not, be sure to visit the Press Box Grill in Grapevine soon.  The owners, Tom & Jan, and the staff are wonderful folks, and they will make you feel welcome.  Like back in the day, be sure to tell 'em that JB sent you.  :-)

Money for nothing...NOT

Two back-to-back gigs sure took their toll on these old hands of mine last week.  Didn’t even pick up a guitar on Sunday.  I got all the tracks recorded on, “Always Today”, and now I’m doing the final mix before sending it off for mastering.  Then it’s on to the next recording, “Her Song”.  Gotta keep on keepin’ on.

What a great turnout last Saturday night at the Press Box Grill.  Thanks goes out to all you folks from Mannatech; especially my wife, Miss Natalie, who helped spread the word at the MannaFest convention.  All of the tips collected are going to MannaRelief, to help feed undernourished children, and that totaled $196!  Thank you all so much!

This coming Thursday, St Patrick’s Day, I’ll be back at Cork it in downtown Grapevine starting at 6:30.

Friday I’ll be at the Lone Star Wine Cellars in McKinney starting at 8PM.  If you have any friends out that way, I’d appreciate your asking them to stop by.

Facebook, Emails, and Gigs

Last week I finally gave in to the current technology and reached out via Facebook (“Resistance is futile…”).  I also sent out an email, so some of you were contacted more than once.  Sorry about that.
Your response was remarkable.  Thank you very much for replying, “Friending”, and especially for coming to my gigs at “Into the Glass” and “Cork It!” last week.  Your support was incredible and reminded me why I do this.  Thank you all so much for the gift of your time.
As I mentioned last week, this coming Saturday,  I’ll be returning to the Press Box Grill in downtown Dallas starting at 8:30 PM.  The new owners, Tom and Jan, are wonderful folks who came to hear me play at the Classic Café back in the day.  They’ve got a cool place.  If you or your friends can’t make it this Saturday, just get there some time.  You’ll love it and come back, I know it.

Gigs-n-More

I’m nearing the completion of the recording, “Always Today” with a few more vocal edits before doing the final mix process.  Most of the time it’s a lot of fun, but occasionally, there are real challenges to overcome.  I’ll keep plugging away at it, and here it is; already March.

Tomorrow at 7 PM I’ll be at Into the Glass.

This Saturday at 8 PM, I’ll be performing at Cork It! in downtown Grapevine.  When I last played there in January, it was a great night, and I’m looking forward to playing there again.

The Saturday after that (3/12), I’ll be returning to the Press Box Grill in downtown Dallas.  If you have folks you know on that side of the Metroplex, I’d sure appreciate it if you’d send them our way.

My song, In Texas, is doing well on the iTunes chart, and I’d sure appreciate it if you would download the song and/or tell your friends about it.
